ISLAMOPHOBIA: A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE
unday May 22, Dr. John Barton will speak at 9:30 am, continuing on the theme of a Christian response to Islam in our world today. We will have just one combined class for Youth-Adults for our class time Sunday. His wife, Sara Barton, chaplain at Pepperdine University, will be preaching at The Journey worship service, 10:45 am.

GUEST PREACHER, SARA BARTON
Sunday, May 22nd, 10:45am
"CHRIST HAS INDEED BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD" (1 CORINTHIANS 15)

"Jill and I have known John and Sara Barton since 30 years. We were mission teammates in Jinja, Uganda. We share a bond in Christ and in mission that is eternal. We continue to connect regularly as we are involved together at a board level with Kibo and continued travels and preparing groups going over to Jinja from Pepperdine University and The Journey. The Bartons and Taylors love one another's kids, and we watched them all grow up together in Jinja. Now our kids are launching out on God's mission in ways they feel called, and we are happy for all of them." -Greg Taylor

Dr. Sara recently graduated with a Doctor of Ministry from Lipscomb University. She also holds a spiritual formation and leadership masters from Spring Arbor University and a bachelor's in English from Harding University. She brings decades of diverse ministerial experience to her role as chaplain at Pepperdine University. Over the past ten years, she has served as both campus minister at Rochester College and small groups minister at the Rochester Church of Christ in Michigan. Before that, Sara and John spent eight years as missionaries with the Taylors in Uganda.

Sara is author of the book, A Woman Called. The books will be available Sunday at The Journey.
